Tip 1: Install water savers on all your taps and fixtures

Tip 2: Check the weather forecast regularly. Just because it is your watering day doesn’t mean you need to turn your sprinklers on. If it is raining the day before or day after you can get away with turning your sprinklers off for that day.

Tip3: Regularly service your taps and water appliances to ensure there are no leaks. Keep an eye on your water bill for any unexpected increases

Tip 4: Limit your showers to 3 – 4 minutes. Egg timers are a great way to keep track of your shower time.

Tip 5: Turn the tap off when you brush your teeth. This can save anywhere from 5-8 litres of water per minute

Tip 6: Always use full loads in your washing machine or dishwasher

Tip 7: Install water saving and water efficient appliances like shower heads and toilets when they need replacing

Tip 8: Dishwashers now use less water than washing by hand. Newer models also wash better than older ones, so you can cut back on rinsing.
